FIRE crews were called out to deal with a lorry fire on a motorway link road near Warrington early today.
Smoke and flames were pouring from the heavy lorry when crews reached the scene on the M62-M6 link road at Croft, around 4.20am.
A hosereel was used to extinguish the fire, which was caused by overheated brakes.
Police sealed off one lane of the road while the operation was in progress.
