Vehicle destroyed in arson attack

FIRE destroyed an advertising vehicle in Warrington town centre during the night – and arson is suspected.
The three-wheeled vehicle – used for promoting bottled gas – was well alight when firefighters reached the scene in Midland Way, close to the Travel Lodge.
Fire crews used a hosereel to tackle the blaze but the vehicle was virtually destroyed.
It had been parked on a pavement area.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident, around 11.15pm last night (Sunday) as firefighters believe the blaze was almost certainly started deliberately.
In a separate incident, arsonists set fire to a wheeled bin in Sharp Street, Warrington. There was no risk to nearby property.
