OLDER people in Warrington are being offered the chance to borrow 10 locally-made films providing vital information on how to cope with the cold weather and other problems.
The films are available free of charge on DVD from every library in the borough.
They have been put together by the Warrington Winter Warm Partnership, co-ordinated by NHS Warrington.
Local older people, script writers, editors and film directors have helped put the key health and wellbeing messages together.
The films cover subjects such as, Falls Prevention, Winter Warm and Well, Emotional Wellbeing, Coping with Conmen, Fire Safety and Money Matters.
The Winter Warm Partnership is also giving away free room thermometers to people aged 60 plus, who should contact NHS Warrington on 01925 843725 or by email to [email protected]
The Partnership is also urging people 65-plus and those in the “at risk” groups, who have not yet had their free ‘flu vaccination to make an appointment with their GP as soon as possible.
