MP hosts fifth annual jobs fair

THE fifth annual jobs fair organised by Warrington South MP David Mowat takes place this Friday.
The free event will run from 10am to 3pm at the Parr Hall.
In the past, the event has focussed on jobs but this year the main thrust will be on apprenticeships, although there will be companies present with current vacancies on offer.
Mr Mowat said: “The buoyant economy has meant that fewer people are out of work, but I am aware that many young people are still struggling to get their feet onto the ladder.
“That’s why, this year, I’ve decided to focus on apprenticeships.”
Representatives from colleges with training programmes and also large employers from the area that run apprenticeship and training schemes will be present. Companies such as the Ombudsman Service, United Utilities, and Sellafield all have schemes and vacancies on offer.
