A WARRINGTON student became Santa Claus for the day to spread Christmas cheer and raise money for charity
Jason Lawley, 18, of Priestley College, dressed up to spread festive fun among students and staff.
Red bucket in hand, he collected £115 in donations for St Rocco’s Hospice, Warrington.
Jason, who is currently studying Public Services and Maths, carried out a similar “mission” last year.
He said: “It started as a joke but I was glad to become Santa for the day.
“People responded really positively and hopefully I have done my own little bit to get folk in the Christmas spirit, whilst raising some funds for St Rocco’s.”
Beth Eccles, of St Rocco’s, said: “What a fantastic way of raising money for the hospice! We all benefited from this young man’s initiative and thoughtfulness.
“St. Rocco’s received a considerable amount of money and his friends got a laugh. Well done Santa! You have added something to our Christmas.”
