Youth centre to get higher security fence

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for higher security fencing at Orford Youth Centre, off Capesthorne Road.
The fencing, facing Derek Avenue, can be increased from 1.8m to 3m, members of the council’s development management committee have agreed.
Councillors were told the new fencing – paladin weld-mesh style and coloured green – will improve security within the sign and, because of its design and colour, will have no harmful impact on houses in Derek Avenue.
The height of the fencing will deter people from attempting to climb over it and should reduce the likelihood of anti-social behaviour in the area.
