A MAN suffered the effects of smoke and required treatment by paramedics when fire broke out at a house in Padgate, Warrington.
The blaze was on the ground floor of a terraced house in Briarwood Avenue and fire crews from Warrington and Birchwood went to the scene.
One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze and a ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
Paramedics treated one man who had inhaled smoke during the incident, but he was not seriously harmed.
