A TEENAGER from Warrington dazzled the judges when a local business ran a “face of” competition.
April Norton, 15, of Penketh, scooped the title of “Face of Johnson’s” organised by Warrington-based salon Johnson’s Hairdressing.
She beat tough competition and judges were impressed with her looks, confidence and versatility. It took three weeks for the judges to narrow down the 300 hopefuls to the final five.
Johnson’s stylists then worked with the girls to create three fabulous images, each portrayed on the catwalk during a final round that saw music pumping and champagne flowing.
April received a cash prize of £1,000, a meal for two in a Stockton-Heath restaurant and the contract to represent the salon as its model for the forthcoming year.
Owner Anton Johnson said: “Last year’s competition was so successful that we decided to make it an annual event. The calibre of this year’s entrants was second to none. It’s no secret that this generation take style incredibly seriously however the overall standard of our finalists, both in fashion and beauty, was astounding.
“Although choosing a final winner was difficult, we did all agree that April has something that little bit special.”
The five finalists were styled by Johnson’s top hair consultants and dressed for the catwalk by Stockton Heath’s Ibizaar Boutique.
