PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the green light to proposals which will ease the way for the multi-million £ Bridge Street redevelopment scheme.
Members of the borough council’s development management committee have approved plans for a new access at the DW Sports Fitness club off Bank Street.
The scheme will involve closing the existing access from Bank Street and creating a new, gated, access from Academy Way.
Car parking arrangements at the club will also be revamped to ensure there is no reduction in the number of parking places.
The changes will help avoid conflict between vehicles arising from construction of the new multi-storey car park to serve the Bridge Street scheme – and planners say this will be beneficial to the development.
There were no objections from neighbouring property owners.
