TRAVEL and Tourism students from Warrington’s Priestley College were able to enrich their studies with an overnight stay in London.During an action packed two-day visit, the group filled every possible minute of their time by visiting many of the capital’s most famous attractions.
From the London Eye to Buckingham Palace, the students were able to get a grasp of why some 27 million visitors a year make London their destination.
Other attractions visited included Madame Tussauds and the West End production of the hit musical “Hairspray.”
The purpose of the trip was to familiarise the students with the UK’s most important tourist destination and to help them with their study of related units.
Travel and Tourism tutor Victoria Turner said: “London is the major reason that tourists visit the UK, so for students on this course, it is the ideal place from them to research in person, in order to bring to life what has been studied in the classroom.”
