Celebrating 40 years of J&K Ross

WARRINGTON based family business J&K Ross celebrated 40 years in business with a special celebration dinner at the Hailliwell Jones Stadium, hosted by Granada TV’s Paul Crone.

J & K Ross was founded in 1976 by Jean and Ken Ross in a small premises on Orchard Street in Warrington, moving from there to Battersby Lane before settling at their current site in Kerfoot Street in 1988.

The company has grown significantly and now has a team of 28 fantastic people, turning over in excess of £6 million a year, supplying a wide range of clients, large and small, with safety equipment and protective clothing.

Supported by a number of their valuable suppliers they celebrated their 40th year in business, where they not only had a great time, but thanks to the support, raised £10,000 for the RFU Injured Players Foundation.

Sadly Ken passed away in July of this year but would surely be justifiably proud of the business he created along with his wife Jean.

Son, Chris said: “it has been a privilege to work for and latterly run the family business, supported by our hard working staff and valuable supply partners.

“Warrington is a great place to do business and that the support of Warrington Worldwide and Wire FM has contributed significantly to business growth.”

Finally Chris would like to thank each and every one of their customers who continue to put their trust in J & K Ross.
