WARRINGTON Rotary Club’s annual Oktoberfest Beer Festival is underway and celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Launched last night (Thursday) with a special Oktoberfest 20 brew, the event continues tonight (Friday) and tomorrow at the Parr Hall, Palmyra Square, Warrington.
Over 70 cask ales plus ciders and bottled beers from both the UK and world wide are on sale to raise much needed funds for a number of charities.
For this year’s celebration there is also a special Prosecco Bar to add some fizz to the occasion.
There is live music at each session and No Stamp Required, well known to festival goers over the years, performing on the Saturday evening.
Up to the present date over £250,000 has been raised for both local and international charities from previous Oktoberfest beer festivals.
This year’s supported charities comprise, Mercy Ships, St Joseph’s Family Centre, St Rocco’s Hospice, Music in Hospitals, Cody’s Productions, The Canal Boat Adventure Project and Rowley Projects.
