APPLETON parish councillors were urged to attend a meeting to discuss a new organisation – Neighbourhoods in Warrington.
Coun John Price asked that members attend a consultation on a new South Warrington Neighbourhood board at Stockton Heath Library on December 3 at 4pm.
The new organisation, part of a Government initiative, would comprise more than 30 members including parish and borough councillors, police, the community and representatives of business, health and education.
Four groups are being set up in the town by Warrington Borough Council and a co-ordinator has been appointed for South Warrington.
Coun Price said: “I think it is important that we are there and I urge members to attend.
“It is useful to be there. We will meet the co-ordinator and will learn a little bit more about the organisation”
