‘Get Engaged’ with your local NHS

NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is eager to hear from members of the public interested in local NHS services.

The CCG, which is made up of 28 Warrington GP practices with a budget of £272m, in conjunction with Health Watch Warrington, is holding their annual ‘Get Engaged’ event on Wednesday, October 19 at The Waterside, Centre Park.

‘Get Engaged’ is an opportunity for members of the public to have their say on the CCGs work and local health services.

This year they are holding the event jointly with Healthwatch Warrington to give people a better understanding of commissioning and to help to shape the local primary care services.

This year the event will focus on new GP Clusters, what this will mean to patients and carers and how they can be more involved in developments. The afternoon will then be an opportunity to hear about Healthwatch’s achievements over the past year with their AGM.

The event will run from 10am until 4pm and will include a health marketplace and lunch.

Marie Ann Hunter, Senior Commissioning Manager for Primary Care for Warrington CCG said: “We need patient involvement to help shape the services we commission for the people of Warrington.

“It is vital that we listen to patient views and this in an opportunity for them to discuss in more detail the important developments that are happening in their local primary care services.”
