TWO local students will feature in a prestigious national catalogue modelling a sportswear range.
Stephanie Wilson and Joss Cropper, both aged 17, were part of a group taking part in a 12-month project. They were asked to put technical sports clothing through its paces for Runcorn-based manufacturer Sportswear International.
Now the two Lymm High School pupils will model the clothing in the catalogue, as a reward for their efforts.
The pair, who are taking a Btec National Diploma in sports coaching development, were asked to compile a monthly report on fit, fabric and durability of the shorts, trousers, t-shirts and vests.
Their reports on garment use during sports activities and gym sessions provided valuable feedback for the design team at the company, who have created a new technical S-Tec range using specialist materials.
The school’s course leader Chris Kinsey said: “This high-end technical kit has now been introduced to all our students to provide both a corporate-style image and raise the profile of the course, while ensuring a purely functional purpose.”
Dean Plant, sales director of the company, said: “We were delighted with the feedback and opinions received from the youngsters – it was very valuable in helping us to develop the range.”
