Man from fatal collision named

UPDATED: A man who died in a collision in Warrington has now been identified as 34-year-old Paul Yates.

Paul, who is from the Warrington area, died early today following a single vehicle collision on Farrell Street, Warrington.

The collision, which involved a blue Peugeot Jet Force 125 scooter, was reported to officers at approximately 6.00am today, Tuesday 13 September.

The tribute below has been issued by Paul’s family:

“Paul was a well-liked and helpful person, always polite and someone who loved his work.

“Paul was on his way to the job he loved when the collision happened. Paul was a loving uncle, son, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by us all.”

Paul’s family are currently receiving specialist support from Cheshire Police family liaison officer.

Anyone with any information in relation to the collision is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 93 of 13/9/2016. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
