Busy night for police in Warrington town centre

POLICE had a busy night in Warrington town centre including a male being arrested for sexual assault on a female and in another incident a woman accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on another woman in a night club.

The sexual assault incident was alleged to have taken place at 4.45am and the GBH at 4.05am.

In other incidents a male was arrested at 3.35 am for an allegation of assault on a member of staff at Subway in the town centre, a male was arrested for being drunk and disorderly at 2.40am and another male was arrested for assault, both on Bridge Street.

Earlier a male was arrested for failing to comply with a dispersal order in the town centre.

All are currently in custody.
