Woman PCSO praised for brave intervention

A WOMAN Police Community Support Officer is being praised by police colleagues after intervening in a town centre disturbance earlier today helping prevent a more serious incident.

PCSO Powell was on duty the town centre when she has had cause to intervene and separate two opposing parties in the Egypt Street area.

Police say her “timely and brave intervention no doubt prevented a more serious incident taking place.”

She was able to summons a police patrol to bring the incident to a peaceful conclusion.
