Hospital lottery

WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 5, 6, 13 and 15. For the third week in a row the jackpot prize went unclaimed which means it will again be rolled-over to next week. The £25 consolation prize went to a hospital worker.

Ten years on

THE Warrington Embroiders Guild marks its 10th anniversary next month with an exhibition at Runcorn’s Brindley Theatre. The exhibition runs from November 3 until January 5 and admission is free. Details: Julie Warren on 01925 268562.

Road resurfacing

RESIDENTS of Twiss Green Lane, Culcheth, are celebrating after learning that their road – the condition of which is generally considered to be one of the worst in the area – is to be resurfaced early in the New Year.

PLANS to convert car showrooms in Chester Road, Warrington into apartments have been put to borough council planning bosses.
