A MAN was arrested in Warrington’s town centre Showbar club in the early hours of the morning on suspicion of stealing a girl’s handbag.
It was alleged the man was found in the toilets with the bag and was also picked up by the club’s CCTV system taking the bag from the dance floor.
Police were called, the man was arrested and has been subsequently charged with theft.
Officers have urged people to keep a close eye on belongings such as handbags and mobile phones when out and about in the town centre.
