Wi-Fi approved for Bank Park

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for outdoor wireless access points to enable people to access Wi-Fi in Bank Park.
Members of the borough’s development management committee agreed to the proposal despite a number of councillors expressing disappointment that people would want to use mobile phones in the park.
The access points will be attached to the new pavilion in the park – about 50 metres from the Grade 1 Listed Town Hall building.
Planning officers argued that the access points would have a minimal impact on the Town Hall building, which dates from 1750.
But they would make the park more attractive to many people.
The pavilion houses a café, toilets and meeting room
