Woman rescued after car crashes into Appleton duck pond

FIRE crews rescued a woman after her car crashed into a duck pond in Appleton, Warrington, earlier today.

The incient happened on New Lane, Appleton. Fire engines from Warrington, Altrincham and a water rescue unit supporting fire engine from Knutsford, along with the boat from Warrington.

AThe car left the road and went into a pond leaving a woman trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters, including water rescue team members, were able to assist the woman from the car. She was checked over by paramedics and the incident was handed over to police officers.
