THREE Warrington people who took part in a health survey have won prizes including a mountain bike, fitness club membership and a pampering day.
Warrington Primary Care Trust launched a Healthier Warrington debate involving residents in the town.
This involved a questionnaire, asking people what they wanted from the NHS and changes they would like to see. Completed surveys were entered into a draw for prizes donated by local businesses.
David Leigh, from Appleton, won first prize of a mountain bike from Warrington shop D and M Cycles.
He said: “It is important to take part in debates such as these about local health services in the town. I am delighted to have played a part in this and obviously very pleased to be a winner.”
Second prize went to Susan Lagar, from Warrington, who won a 12 month membership to Total Fitness and third prize went to Beryl Jump, of Warrington, who will receive a pampering session at the Park Royal Hotel in Stretton.
Maria Austin, head of communication at Warrington PCT, said: “This is our way of thanking the people of Warrington for getting involved in our debate.
“We are committed to making sure that the ‘Healthier Warrington’ debate continues and we want people to continue to come and talk with us and give us their views.”
The results from the debate will be used to formulate the trust’s strategic plans for the next few years. Further events are planned to get the public involved.
