Club's junior prize night

LYMM Oughtrington Park Cricket Club looked forward to the future and back over a distinguished history when it held its annual junior presentation evening.
Hosted by club chairman Paul Henbrey, in a newly refurbished pavilion off Oughtrington Lane, it was the third presentation evening following the development of the junior section more than three years ago.
LOPCC, a Chartermark Club, now runs a thriving junior section with qualified coaches running teams at under 11, 13, 15 and 18 level, plus a girl’s side.
The club also runs two senior sides in the Meller Braggins Cheshire League, and two friendly teams, which play on Wednesdays and Sundays. The clubhouse also now plays host to various community events and parties.
Next season will mark the club’s 125th anniversary and will be celebrated by the launch of a new club badge and sponsored kit, the development of new cricket nets and various celebration events.
Indoor nets for the new season start in January at Lymm High School and new players, and spectators, of all ages are always welcome.
