Man arrested after hit-and-run

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of a hit-and-run incident at Warrington in which a teenager was left lying seriously injured in the road.
The man, aged 26, is expected to appear before magistrates on July 12.
He has been charged with failing to stop after a road collision, failing to report a road accident and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
The incident took place on Wednesday, June 1 on the A57 Sankey Way at Great Sankey.
Jack Emson, aged 15, was crossing the road with some friends when he was struck by a car which did not stop.
He was rushed to hospital in Liverpool with a broken leg, broken wrist, eye injuries and other cuts and bruises
He is now recovering at home but faces weeks of follow-up treatment
The arrest follows days of appeals by the police and by Jack’s family for information to help trace the driver involved.
