Police clampdown on speeding motorists

WARRINGTON Police conducted traffic enforcement on Knutsford Road today where speeds ranged from 35-59mph in the 30 mph zone.

A total of 46 drivers have received Traffic Offence Reports,  while a further 33 drivers will receive Notice of Intended Prosecution through the post.

Two drivers will receive a Summons to Court and one driver had their vehicle seized as they were driving without the correct licence and no insurance.

  1. Well done Warrington Police.
    Pretty shocking that so many were over the speed limit on just one day on the one road. Saying that over the past few weeks I’ve seen an increase in speeders down our road and others around here but always the same when it’s sunny. Weird that…. maybe the sunshine messes with their one brain cells !!!
    Maybe the police should really clamp down on mobile phone use while driving too, seems not many people are taking much notice that it’s illegal as I’ve seen at least 6 people using their mobiles today while they are driving. Same most days.
