Vandals blamed for series of fires

VANDALS are believed to have started a number of fires involving bushes and grass on land off Radley Lane, Warrington last night.
Firefighters were called to the scene and used hand-held extinguishers to put out the fires.
The fires are believed to have been started deliberately shortly after 8pm and police are appealing for anyone with information to call them on 101 or via the confidential Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
In an earlier incident, a campire left unattended is thought to have started a fire involving grass and trees in Sankey Valley Park.
Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
