THE annual Lady Captain’s charity day at Lymm Golf Club proved a great success with 150 women from 30 visiting clubs taking part.
More than £4,000 was raised for the North West Air Ambulance, including amounts raised by other events during the year.
The NWAA now has a second helicopter, based at Barton Airport and the money raised at Lymm will go towards a baby incubator, vital equipment and uniforms for use on the new aircraft.
Winners of the all-day competition were June Miles, of Lymm and Eileen Griffiths, of Warrington Golf Club.
Lady Captain Shelagh Sanderson said: “We had marvellous weather and it was a great day.
“I would like to thank everyone who helped make the day a success.”
