Roads to be closed at night

WARRINGTON Borough Council intends to make an order to introduce a temporary night-time ban on driving on two busy roads.
The bans on Crab Lane, from College Place Roundabout to its junction with Locking Stumps Lane and on Fearnhead Lane, between its junctions with Crab Lane and Long Barn Lane, will come into force on Monday, October 27 between 7pm and 7.30am.
It is expected the bans will last for about a week. They will take place when signs are displayed at the scene and an alternative route will be signposted via Crab Lane, Blackbrook Avenue, Birchwood Way and vice versa.
The restrictions are to allow a high friction surface dressing and speed markings to be applied.
