UPDATED: Two vehicles were involved in a road traffic collision on the M6 between junctions 20 and 19 southbound near Warrington causing the carriageway to be blocked for several hours.
Nobody was trapped in either vehicle but there were two casualties, a man and a woman, who were treated by firefighters and ambulance crews. Fire Crews from Warrington and Knutsford made the scene safe.
