Investigation into barn fire

AN investigation has started into the cause of a fire which caused extensive damage to a barn near Warrington.
The roof of the building collapsed during the blaze at Caldwells Gate Lane, Antrobus.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene and firefighters tackled the blaze, using two hose reel jets and setting up a cordon around the area.
The building, which measured about 10 metres by five metres, containing building materials.
During the operation, the barn roof collapsed – but there were no reports of injuries.
In another incident, firefighters from Warrington were called to Windermere Avenue, Orford where a domestic wheelie bin was ablaze. They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
