WARRINGTON South Conservatives are fielding a record number of candidates in the forthcoming local elections with a manifesto pledge to deliver value money and a united front.

With a field of 30 candidates, it is more than any other party contesting the May 5 elections in the south of the town.

Cllr. Stephen Taylor, Deputy Chairman for Warrington South Conservative Association said, “We are delighted to confirm that 30 Conservative candidates will be contesting seats across the constituency on May 5th.

“Our diverse team have broad experience across public, private and third sectors, range in age from 18 to those in retirement, with a welcome balance of male and female candidates.

“Candidates, both Borough and Parish, were chosen based on their own merits, to create a team to fully represent the diversity in Warrington South. Many of our candidates are also new to the Party, joining since the General Election last year in support of our plan to give greater economic stability to the area and improve the standard of living across all wards.”

In conjunction with the Conservative Association in Warrington North, a manifesto has been launched to present a cohesive and united front for Warrington.

This focuses on delivering value for money across the board, transport improvements, roads and infrastructure development and increases in affordable housing.

“Candidates, our incumbent Councillors and our increasing number of volunteers have been working in the wards across Warrington South to ensure that residents’ concerns are heard and dealt with.

“Candidates are out on the doorstep to convey this message and to ask that voters place their trust in them on May 5th.”
