TRAFFIC is to be temporarily banned from a local road while work is carried out on a water main.
The temporary closures will start on Delph Lane, Winwick, near Warrington from Monday and are expected to remain in force for about five weeks.
Temporary closures will be introduced from the junction with Myddleton Lane in a south easterly direction to Waterworks Cottages.
Closures will take place as and when signs are in place.
An alternative route will be signposted via Southworth Lane, Smithy Brow, Lord Street, Mustard Lane, Wigshaw Lane, Common Lane, Warrington Road, Birchwood Park Avenue, Birchwood Way, Blackbrook Avenue and vice versa.
The closure is required to renew the water main from Houghton Green Borehole to Winwick Water Treatment works.
