Police warning over media company

POLICE at Warrington have issued a warning about a company selling advertising and claiming to have links with Cheshire Police.
The firm, Sapphire Media, has been cold-calling in the borough, claiming to represent the police.
In fact, say the police, the company is not known to them and has no connection with any police force to their knowledge.
“Anyone who is approached by this company should have nothing to do with them,” a spokesman said.
