Newsagents now a hairdressers

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have been approve the conversion of a newsagents’ shop into a hairdressing salon – after it has happened.
Penketh Parish Council and a number of neighbours have objected to the change at Seventh Heaven, in Warrington Road, Penketh.
They claim there is inadequate parking provision, parked vehicles will cause problems for the hearse when funerals are held at the nearby church and that a gate has been erected at the rear of the premises which restricts residents from moving their wheelie bins.
They also question the need for another hairdressing salon, given the number of existing ones.
Warrington’s development control committee has to reach a decision tomorrow (Wednesday). But planning officers are recommending the retrospective application be approved.
