Raiders ransack elderly couple’s home

RAIDERS broke into an elderly couple’s home at Warrington while they were out and ransacked the property.
The intruders took a quantity of sentimental jewellery and a large amount of Euro’s the couple had been saving for a holiday after making an untidy search of their bedroom.
Now police are appealing for information from the public following the burglary in Roughlea Avenue, Culcheth.
The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 4pm and 7.45pm on Saturday, January 30.
Entry was gained through a conservatory.
DC Neil Radley said: “We are currently following a number of lines
of enquiry and as part of the investigation I am keen to speak to anyone that was in the area at the time the incident occurred.
“This incident has left the victims extremely shaken and I am keen to bring the offender to justice. I urge anyone who believes that they have any information that could assist our investigation to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 788 of 30/1/2016.”
