A DONATION of £5,000 has been made by Inspire Risk Management towards the Spectrum Everest Base Camp Challenge in aid of the Steve Prescott Foundation.

In October this year, three days after the Super League Grand Final, Steve’s wife Linzi and Taylor Prescott will join 38 other supporters in the challenge.

Neil Reid, chief executive of Inspire, is a long time family friend, supporter and sponsor of the SPF.

He completed the Spectrum Kilimanjaro Challenge last year so knows the sort of challenge that faces Linzi and Taylor.

He said: “Here’s wishing you both the very best of luck for what will be an epic challenge.  The great man will be immensely proud of you and we are very proud to support you on this amazing challenge.  Love and best wishes from all of your friends at Inspire Risk Management Ltd.’

This generous donation to Linzi and Taylor’s fund will cover the costs for their challenge and ensure that all other donations received from friends, family and supporters will go to the Steve Prescott Foundation which supports the Christie, Try Assist and the SPF Special Causes Fund.

Linzi said: “I cannot thank you enough! We might not be saying that come October, but it was your generous offer that finally made us commit to the challenge. I’m sure we will both have lifetime experiences and make many special memories along the way….we have you to thank for that!”
