Traffic signals working properly again

WARRINGTON’S traffic management system is “working properly again” following disruption caused by a cut power cable in the town centre last week.

Warrington Council  has apologised to commuters for any inconvenience and thanks engineers from Siemens for their assistance, not only in helping the council get the system up and running again but in providing additional computer hardware to help mitigate problems in future.

Councillor Hans Mundry, executive board members for highways, transportation and the public realm, said:  “We appreciate people’s patience during what has been a testing time. Council colleagues and partners have worked hard to rectify the problem as quickly as possible, and to put additional measures in place to prevent a repeat. We remain committed to delivering the best services we can for the people of Warrington.”
