THREE non-executive directors of Warrington Primary Care Trust have been reappointed to their posts for a further four years..
Dr Farath Arshad, Mr Gareth Hall and Mr Nick Atkin will continue serve on the PCT board October 31, 2012.
PCT chairman John Gartside said: “I am really pleased with the reappointments. As Board Members, we are all proud of the PCT’s achievements and as we look to the future I am looking forward to continuing to work with Farath, Gareth and Nick in supporting the organisation and overseeing its future development.
Chief executive Andrew Burgess added: “This is very good news for the PCT. The continued support of Farath,
Gareth and Nick will further strengthen capability to develop further and ensure that the PCT continues to commission services which meet the needs and improve the health of the people of Warrington”.
Dr Farath Arshad who originally joined the PCT in 2002, is currently head of a multifaculty research and development centre for health informatics at Liverpool John Moores University.
Senior business manager for Lloyds TSB in Warrington, Gareth Hall who was first appointed to the PCT in October 2006, has over 28 years experience in the finance sector.
Nick Atkin, currently chief executive of Halton Housing Trust originally joined Warrington PCT in October 2006. He has held a variety of positions in various public sector organisations for almost 20 years.
All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. None of the appointees have declared any political activity in the last five years, nor hold any other ministerial appointments. They will each receive a remuneration of £7,765 per annum.
