TWO Warrington roads are to be temporarily closed for about 10 weeks from Monday September 8.
A temporary prohibition of driving will be in place at St Mary’s Road, Great Sankey, from its junction with Liverpool Road to its junction with The Dale, and Station Road, from its junction with Liverpool Road to its junction with Forge Road.
Temporary one way restrictions will be introduced in part of The Dale, except in a southeasterly direction, and in part of South Dale, except in a southwesterly direction.
The alternative routes for the prohibition of driving at St. Mary’s Road is via Liverpool Road, Stocks Lane, Meeting Lane and vice versa, and Station Road, via Liverpool Road, Lingley Green Avenue, Park Road and vice versa.
For the one way orders diversions are The Dale (northbound traffic) via St. Mary’s Road, Liverpool Road, and South Dale (for eastbound traffic) via Walsingham Road, Meeting Lane, St. Mary’s Road, Liverpool Road.
The reason for the closure is to allow the installation of a new 33KV electricity cable associated with the construction of Chapelford Urban Village Development.
