Town kick-off with a win

WARRINGTON Town kick started their season in the new look Unibond Division One North with a 1-0 victory over newly promoted Salford City.
In a game where defences were on top Town had the better of the first half chances, with centre forward Philip Hadland missing a golden opportunity to open the scoring when he was one on one with the keeper, who saved with his legs.
Hadland made amends in the second half when he shot was deflected into the net by the hapless keeper to give Warrington a winning start to their campaign.
Once Warrington took the lead the game opened up as Salford went in search of an equaliser.
