MORE than 90 nearby residents attended the annual community Christmas party hosted by Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School.
Also present were Deputy Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Faisal Rashid and Mrs Rashid, school advisor Barbara Dutton, diocesan advisor Brian Padgett and Boteler trustee John Taylor and  four teachers from the Czech Republic, who were in school as part of a Warrington wide exchange visit.
Food and drinks were prepared and served by Boteler’s Year 10 food technology students with the assistance of some staff.
Boteler’s choir, The Crunchie Harmonies entertained all by singing festive songs.
Year Nine students took the opportunity to share what they had learned through the ambassador project on “growth mindset” by demonstrating “cup stacking” and leading a sing-a-long of festive songs with everyone joining in. The highlight of the day was bingo with the numbers being called by PCSO Tony Spruce.
As the event drew to a close, Father Christmas arrived to present a home-made gift of Christmas biscuits to all of the guests.
Mrs Margaret Isherwood celebrated her Honorary Freewoman Award – which she had been presented with the night before – at the party.
