Santas dash through the park

HUNDREDS of Warrington people braved the miserable weather and donned their Santa suits to take part in LiveWire’s first ever Santa Dash.
More than 200 people took part in the race which acted as a warm up for Brainwave’s 5k Santa Dash in Birchwood.
Children and adults of all fitness abilities completed the one mile route around Orford Park with all the Santas receiving a medal for their hard work at the end.
Participants were also encouraged to raise money for a charity of their choice with charities across the town set to benefit from the funds.
Andrea Morley, Senior Events Officer at LiveWire, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people taking part in our first ever Santa Dash.
“All the Santas really got into the festive spirit and worked hard to raise funds for their chosen charities.”
