16-week closure for local road

A BUSY Warrington road will be temporarily closed to traffic from Tuesday August 26 to allow for repairs to pedestrian crossings.
Closures are expected to affect the A50 Knutsford Road and adjacent roads for 16 weeks.
There will be a temporary prohibition of driving on the A50 from its junction with Station Road (B5156) for a distance of 50 metres in a north westerly direction (inbound traffic only).
Also on the A5061 Knutsford Road from a point approximately 50 metres north west of its junction with Powell Street to its junction with Grammar School Road (inbound traffic only).
A temporary prohibition of left turns will apply on the A50 Kingsway South. It will prohibit vehicles driving along Kingsway South from making a left hand turn into Knutsford Road.
A temporary prohibition of right turn on the A5061 Knutsford Road will prohibit vehicles in Knutsford Road (A5061) from making a right hand turn (outside no. 720 Knutsford Road) into the Knutsford Road (A5061 gyratory system).
It will also prohibit vehicles in Kingsway South from making a right hand turn into Knutsford Road (A5061).
Restrictions will be in place between 7pm and 11 pm on Monday to Thursday and 9am and 4pm on Sundays. Work will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption and diversions will be signposted.
