WARRINGTON Borough Council provided an insight in to a normal 24 hours in local government during a Twitter campaign this week.
#ourday is a national campaign, led by the Local Government Association, which asks councils to post real-time messages from staff across a variety of services to highlight the diversity of the work.
Cllr Hitesh Patel, executive board member for personnel and communications, said: “We are delighted to be taking part in this year’s #ourday campaign, which provides us with a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the work of the council and the 800+ services we deliver.
“You may be used to talking to us about bins, council tax or schools, but there’s so much more to Warrington Borough Council – and we want to give you an insight into a typical day.”
