THREE fire engines were called to a house fire at Helsby following reports that a person could be trapped inside.
The blaze was in Lower Robin Hood Lane and an ambulance was called to the scene for a casualty suffering from the effects of smoke.
Firefighters provided oxygen therapy until the ambulance crew arrived.
The blaze involved a microwave oven and was out by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.
Fire engines from Ellesmere Port and Chester were involved in the operation.
