Town land home FA Trophy tie

WARRINGTON Town have landed a home tie in the 2nd qualifying round of the F.A Trophy against Basford United FC from the Evo-Stik Southern League.

Based in Nottingham, Bashford are currently 5th in the league table. Warrington progressed to the second qualifying round after overcoming Brighouse Town 2-0 at the weekend.

The game will take place on Saturday November 14th, kick off 3pm, meaning Warrington’s scheduled league game away at Radcliffe will have to be re-arranged.

But before then Warrington have an important league game at home to Bamber Bridge this coming Saturday, kick off 3pm.

The sides, both among the favourites for promotion at the start of the season, drew 2-2 in the opening fixture of the season.
