Gymnasium plan for former depot

PLANS have been drawn up to convert a former council depot at Orford, Warrington into a gymnasium.
The scheme involves the former depot in Capesthorne Road – a residential area with a substation and community centre nearby.
It is a single storey building – and no external alterations are currently proposed.
But four objections have been received from nearby residents on the grounds of traffic, increased noise and loss of privacy due to overlooking windows.
Planning officers are recommending the scheme, submitted by Kamen Picken, be approved.
The building was used as a depot by the borough council’s gardening services until November last year.
