A COOKER left on a low heat triggered a fire alert at Warrington early today.
Automatic smoke detectors went off, raising the alarm and sending a fire engine from Warrington to the house in Callands Road, Westbrook shortly before 4am.
Firefighters gained entry to the kitchen and turned the cooker off and then used a ventilation unit to remove smoke from the property. No-one was reported hurt.
