WARRINGTON Wolves have moved quickly to secure the services of Head Coach Jimmy Lowes for next season on the back of six victories from seven games which has seen the club move to 4th in the table.
The deal to keep Lowes was reached within “a matter of hours” and now allows the Yorkshire based former Bradford Bulls ace to continue with the good work he has already achieved – and plan ahead for next season – although he was quick to point out there would be “no new faces” in the team for the rest of the current campaign.
Club Chairman Lord Hoyles confirmed Lowes’ new contract until the end of the 2009 season at the Warrington based HQ of the club’s new principal shirt sponsor for next season – Vestas – the world’s leading supplier of modern energy solutions.
Lord Hoyle said the club had decided to move forward and secure the services of Lowes for the 2009 season on the back of recent improved performances which had seen the club climb back up the Super League table.
Meanwhile the Wolves are delighted to have signed a lucrative deal with Vestas, who will replace Omega as the club’s principal shirt sponsor next season.
John Childs, Director of Onshore Sales at Vestas, who have been a sleeve sponsor during the current campaign, said he was delighted to announce an ongoing partnership for 2009.
He believed the company and the Wolves had a similar working ethos. “As a company we are working in the exciting world of modern energy solutions and I believe the Super League is one of the most exciting sports to be involved in.
“We are proud to be involved with a club at the heart of the local community and look forward to bringing green energy to Wolves fans.”
